Beautification of Hudson Park Cleaning up streets, parks and other public places is an easy way for SAL members to give back to their communities.  The ASU Chapter did just that at Hudson Park in Tempe, AZ.  At the activity, people from Faithful City Church and ASU came together to rake leaves, pick up trash, and clean the park so children can play in a safe environment.  After cleaning up, all of the volunteers had a barbecue to eat and just socialize with one another.

Kids Carnival The members at Arizona State University volunteered at a children’s carnival that was put on by New Horizon Performing Arts School.  The carnival was to help them raise funds for the 4th-6th graders to go to camp in the spring and to help the other school age kids to be able to attend field trips.  Over 200 people from the community attended.  The event raised over $1000 and the SAL chapter was able to be a part of making that happen!
