During the 2020 fall semester, SAL’s University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill chapter came up with a great way to stay connected with each other while following COVID regulations.
The UNC chapter hosted virtual game nights, through Zoom, with its members! UNC chapter president, Molli Walsleben, said “it was a fun way to build camaraderie amongst group members and they plan to continue hosting game nights in the future”.
One tip Molli offered for other SAL chapters who may want to host a virtual game or trivia night, is to make a Kahoot account for their chapter. Utilizing the free app for trivia questions simplifies the process for everyone. She explained that through the app you can easily share your screen on the Zoom conference, and have members pull Kahoot up on their phones, which is more fun and effective than typing the answers out in the zoom chat.
We love to see our members staying safe while having fun with each other. Thanks for sharing the creative idea with us, UNC!
