Toy Drive

University of Mississippi’s SAL chapter donated over $500 dollars worth of toys to foster children in North Mississippi over the holiday season! To begin their toy drive, the officers contacted their local division of Child Protective Services. Members were made aware of the need to buy for children ages six through thirteen. The members gathered for a meeting where they made cards, listened to Christmas music, ate cookies, and collected wonderful toys, including Legos, Shopkins, Frozen characters, and race cars. The Tupelo Student Social Work organization also donated to this cause.

Quitley Lee, Chapter Vice President of Community Service, said, “We all enjoyed being able to provide for these children in need. We cannot wait for future work in this area.”
