Sigma Alpha Lambda and the Special Olympics Virginia have joined together to bring internship opportunities to SAL members. Virginia is looking for students interesting in a public relations/marketing internship with an interest or experience with nonprofit work. SOVA is willing to work with you to make the experience fit your university needs. They are looking for an extremely flexible schedule of a minimum of 20 hours/week (more ideal). Internships typically last a semester but can be extended. The starting date is ASAP because interns are needed for all semesters.
Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA) is a year round sports program for persons with intellectual disabilities. In addition to assisting with our statewide competitions, the intern will work on several high profile fundraisers such as the Summer Games, Law Enforcement Torch Run, Over the Edge, and other local events.
