The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.

Pie in the Face!
GVSU SAL members had a sweet time at their kickoff meeting this semester; they were able to watch their officers receive a pie in the face! The special event was an award for the chapter’s high level of activity last semester. In addition to this event (and eating lots of pizza), officers introduced service and leadership events, Relay for Life, and Feeding the Homeless fundraisers. (more…)
Kid’s Art Fest
The Grand Valley State University Chapter is great at coming up with fun ways to make a difference in their community. For this event, they volunteered at Kids’ Art Fest, an event put on by Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. The event was a way to get kids involved with art and learn to express themselves through various forms of art. (more…)
