The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.

Miles for Matias Walk
The Binghamton University Chapter volunteered to help another organization at their school, Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, to put on the “Miles for Matias Walk.” The walk is in its third year and benefits multiple sclerosis research in memory of a former Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity Brother, Tom Matias, who also suffered from multiple sclerosis. The money raised will go toward the Stony Brook University Hospital where Matias worked prior to his passing. (more…)
Late Nite Binghamton
Late Nite Binghamton is an on-campus event hosted by student organizations at Binghamton University. All Late Nite programs are held in the University Union on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm-2am. At a recent Late Night, the SAL Chapter hosted a fun turkey craft in honor of Thanksgiving. (more…)
CHOW Hunger Walk
The CHOW Hunger Walk is an event hosted by Binghamton University to collect canned goods and fundraise to fight hunger in the Binghamton area. All of the canned goods and money raised goes to soup kitchens, churches and other organizations that provide food for those who need it. (more…)
