Sigma Alpha Lambda Chapters Make Spring ’08 a “Semester of Service”
This spring, Sigma Alpha Lambda partnered with Youth Service America (YSA) for the Semester of Service initiative where students from all over the world were challenged to complete service projects and impact their communities between Martin Luther King Day of Service on January 21st and the weekend of Global Youth Service Day which spanned April 25th-27th. According to the president and CEO of YSA, “Young people are volunteering and voting at record rates because they are deeply affected by global challenges they see in today’s media. Youth care about what is happening across the street and around the world and they are motivated to be part of the solution to the world’s problems. Their amazing energy, creativity and idealism are making substantive change.” These statements provide an accurate reflection of SAL chapters around the U.S. as they set out to make a tangible difference in the world around them this spring.

Dr. Donald Shaw named Fall 2007 Outstanding Advisor

Fall 2007 United to Serve
