Second Harvest Food Bank

We love to see our newer chapters making an impact on their communities, and the Valdosta State University Chapter did just that by volunteering at a local food bank!

SAL members organized donated food into boxes in order for the food to be distributed to other local food banks. They had to form an assembly line to inspect the items and package the items into the right boxes.

Said Chapter President Brya Cameron, “We really enjoyed Second Harvest. It is a hands on community service project that requires you to get a little dirty which is different from other projects that we have done. Since we had to rely on each other [to execute the assembly line smoothly], our community service turned into a bonding activity as well. It was great for exercising our teamwork.”
