CROP Walk

“Ending hunger one step at a time.” That’s the simple concept behind the CROP Walk that takes place each Fall to raise money to end hunger both in the U.S. and overseas. This year, the University of North Carolina Greensboro Chapter brought a group of members to participate in the walk.

CROP Walks raise money to support Church World Service, which focuses on sustainability by giving people tools and education to grow their own food rather than just giving them food. They build wells and water systems and provide training and even micro-finance loans.

This year’s CROP Walk took place on a beautiful Fall day and was a great chance for SAL members to do something to make a difference while spending time together.
