Fourth Street Cleanup

The University of Illinois Urbana Champaign volunteered their time to clean up Fourth Street and pick up trash. After meeting in the campus common area and doing some icebreakers they split up into two teams to begin their Fourth Street cleanup. Team 1 picked up trash on the left side of the street and Team 2 picked up the trash on the right side of the street. Upon finishing their hard work they all went to a local restaurant and had some appetizers as a reward and further bonding experience!

The University of Illinois Urbana Champaign chapter president stated, “This activity was worth every single minute of it. Everyone bonded over picking up trash, of all things, and then relaxing at a restaurant afterwards after a hard day of exams was just another way for SAL members to bond.”

What a great way to give back and bond as a group all at the same time!
