Chef for a Day

Members of Sigma Alpha Lambda at University of Arizona dedicated their time, money and energy to help prepare and serve a meal for their local Ronald McDonald House. After shopping the evening before, volunteers cooked and served hamburgers, hot dogs, various salads, and cookies for the guests.

Former chapter president, Dhara Patel, said, “It was a great community service event. In addition, it served as a chapter bonding experience. I would definitely recommend this to another chapter.”

Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay at little to no cost for parents of sick children when they are being treated away from home. For more information on Ronald McDonald House or ways you can help, please visit their website: http://www.rmhc.org.
