A Day to Serve

The Big Event is a big deal on many college campuses where students are able to serve in the community. Every year, multiple Sigma Alpha Lambda chapters participate in this initiative. This year, New Mexico State University and Virginia Tech University were a couple of those chapters. NMSU enjoyed the beautiful weather in their area while they cleaned up trash in their community. Virginia Tech SAL members went to a local couple’s house and helped dig fence post holes, spread mulch, and clean up their yard.

“We had a lot of fun, and the couple we were helping was very grateful for our help! We worked hard and got a lot done,” said Sydni Koch of VT.
