Sharing a meal is one of the best ways to bond as a group, and SAL used the Thanksgiving holiday as a great opportunity to do just that. The Virginia Tech Chapter of SAL hosts an annual Thanksgiving meal in an officer’s home that includes a delectable menu of turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli salad, and multiple desserts. In addition to discussing the next service project and getting to know new members, everyone genuinely enjoyed the fellowship.

“I think the thing I enjoyed most was bonding with old and new friends over shared values. Everyone in the VT chapter is so passionate about helping others and truly making a difference in our community that being close friends is so natural,” said Kasey Warren, Chapter Vice President.

George Washington University’s SAL chapter collected canned goods and monetary donations for the Food Fight Against Hunger at their Friendsgiving dinner. Members enjoyed time with one another and also helped a great cause.

El Centro College members shared a meal together after serving at the Dallas Feast of Sharing. They served food and drinks and played with the children at this community event.

As we remember this special holiday, we are thankful for all our members and what they do to make a positive impact on those around them!
