The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.
Tassels, Honor Cords & Honor Stoles are available from the SAL Store.
During February, many SAL chapters chose to serve by sharing love with others. East Carolina University made Valentine cards for children at a local hospital during their meeting. Murray State University chose (more…)
Rise Against Hunger
After donating food to local food banks during Food Fight Against Hunger, East Carolina University’s SAL chapter chose to volunteer for Rise Against Hunger Food Packing in their Greenville, NC, community. (more…)
Continuing the Fight in 2017
The Food Fight Against Hunger is the centerpiece of SAL’s fall volunteering. This year, 26 chapters worked SO hard to collect over 5,000 items and over $1,000 to fight hunger. (more…)
