The University of Wisconsin Whitewater Chapter is currently seeking additional officers for this academic year. The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.

A recurring theme we are seeing with several of our chapters this year is gathering together or even using part of an already scheduled chapter meeting to make cards for hospitalized children and others that may not get to spend certain holidays in the way they would desire. (more…)
Concession Stand Fundraising
We encourage our chapters to look for creative ways to raise funds for chapter activities and service projects. As was the case for our University of Wisconsin Whitewater Chapter, several chapters have found that they can make some money by working the concession stand at one of their school’s sporting events. Humane Society Visit and Supplies Drive
SAL members at University of Wisconsin Whitewater had a great time volunteering at their local humane society. They contacted the local owner and received a list of items they needed. SAL members alone donated 68 items! (more…)
Raffle Drawing and Game Night
SAL members are hard-working students who need to relax and let off steam just like the rest of us. Social activities are a great way to do just that as well as bond with other members. The Chapter at University of Wisconsin Whitewater gathered to play Bingo and a Guessing game, and gave out prizes to winners. (more…)
Prairie Street Clean-up
The University of Wisconsin Whitewater Chapter wasted no time getting involved on campus this semester. Their first event was a street clean up where they picked up trash along a street on campus. The officers brought bags and gloves and met the members at a street corner to begin working. (more…)
