The University of North Carolina Greensboro Chapter is currently seeking additional officers for this academic year. The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.

UNCG Fun Fest
Fun Fest is a free event on campus at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, hosted by the Wellness Center. Each organization hosts a booth with a theme about alcohol awareness. The SAL chapter was asked to host a booth and came up with the theme, “Instead of drinking alcohol, you can eat sundaes!” (more…)
“Ending hunger one step at a time.” That’s the simple concept behind the CROP Walk that takes place each Fall to raise money to end hunger both in the U.S. and overseas. This year, the University of North Carolina Greensboro Chapter brought a group of members to participate in the walk. (more…)
Habitat for Humanity
SAL members from the University of North Carolina Greensboro Chapter gave of their time to volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity. The project assigned to the group was to put siding on a house. Members arrived early Saturday morning and began with a training session. Then they set to work, measuring the areas needing siding, cutting the siding to the correct size, and hammering it to the house. (more…)
