This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Food Fight Against Hunger

Continuing the Fight in 2017 The Food Fight Against Hunger is the centerpiece of SAL’s fall volunteering. This year, 26 chapters worked SO hard to collect over 5,000 items and over $1,000 to fight hunger.

Chick-fil-A Percentage Night Fundraising for Relay for Life kicked off early for Texas A&M University. The chapter held a percentage night at their local Chick-fil-A restaurant where they collected patrons’ receipts and received a percentage of the profit.

Card-Making for a Cause

A recurring theme we are seeing with several of our chapters this year is gathering together or even using part of an already scheduled chapter meeting to make cards for hospitalized children and others that may not get to spend certain holidays in the way they would desire.
