The most engaging and active leadership roles are filling the role of a Chapter officer. This is an opportunity to develop hands on experience in communication, project planning & execution, team building, and time management. Elections occur once per year, typically in early spring. Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships and Awards range from $100 to $5000 and are available for both undergraduate members as well as members furthering their academic endeavors through post-graduate study. Applications are available at the beginning of April each year and are due to the Scholarship Committee by the end of May. For more information, please view the Scholarship page.
Tassels, Honor Cords & Honor Stoles are available from the SAL Store.

Each year, Sigma Alpha Lambda recognizes our heroes from September 11, 2001. Our Flag Memorial event is where chapters all across the country take over a popular area on campus and place flags with the slogan “Sigma Alpha Lambda Remembers.” (more…)

Food Fight Tabling

Need Line Food Bank
Our Murray State University Chapter recently volunteered at their local food bank. This was their opportunity to give them the 519 total food items they had collected for the Food Fight Against Hunger. (more…)
A recurring theme we are seeing with several of our chapters this year is gathering together or even using part of an already scheduled chapter meeting to make cards for hospitalized children and others that may not get to spend certain holidays in the way they would desire. (more…)
Combined Chapter Social & Service
Murray State University members and officers met at a local Dairy Queen to grab some ice cream, and then they made cards for the organization Cards for Hospitalized Kids. (more…)
